MILAN (AP) — A tragic accident occurred on Thursday when a cable car transporting tourists near Naples crashed after a cable snapped. The incident took place in Castellammare di Stabia, located south of Naples, resulting in the deaths of at least four individuals and critically injuring one other. Castellammare Mayor Luigi Vicinanza noted that the emergency brake for the downward cable car functioned as it should, but the emergency brake on the ascending cabin apparently failed.
